Manatee Education Foundation

The mission of the Manatee Education Foundation is to provide enhanced educational opportunities for Manatee County students and teachers. The Foundation's contributors have provided scholarships, tutoring and grants in support of teacher innovative instructional strategies that cannot be funded through public dollars. In 2005-2006, the Foundation raised over $265,000 for educational programs and scholarships. Major fundraisers each year include the Phil Galvano / Outback Steakhouse Classic golf tournament and the Pittsburgh Pirates benefit game.

Credit for success of the MEF belongs to the individuals, businesses and organizations that give their time, energy, and dollars to support learning environments where children can realize their full potential. The Foundation empowers its supporters by making them stockholders in the future of our children. It is a focused, accountable way for people to support educational reforms and improvements.
